A newly married couple were in the process of building a new home. They wanted to bring the spirit of their new family into their home by commissioning an artwork comprising themselves, their collective six children from previous relationships and dog featuring in the painting. As they all love the beach it seemed obvious that this be the setting, at the same time capturing a sense of place with the unmistakable towering cranes of the Fremantle Port skirting the scene. An informal approach, the scene underpins the relationships they are all building.
