My client and her family are extensive travellers and wanted to capture the spirit of their rest and relaxation time, which is spent largely on islands in beautiful clear-water lagoons and bring it into their home.

The painting needed to sit comfortably between the lighting fixtures of the formal dining room. It was also important for the painting to harmonize with existing furnishings in the same living area picking up colour from existing cushions, trinkets and vases, in particular marine blues, turquoise and lilac.
