Set within the reaches of the West Australian Darling Scarp ‘Just flyin’ by’ appears typically Australian with a big blue sky and sunburnt landscape, it’s vastness enhanced by perspective. Dead trees litter the landscape probing the viewer to question. The windmill stands looking strangely similar. The stacked hayshed and cows offer promise of production but at what cost? All the while the pink and grey galahs just fly by; a lackadaisical comment.
